TLA VIDEO:
This very West Hollywood comedy is the love tale of one thirty-something Jewish queen named Josh (with narration from his leopard-spot shirted Mom, we know this boy is for real). Josh's "lover" was found getting a BJ in a car on the street by Josh, and he's hot on the trail for the real thing this time. His best friend says he should try ten dates, and he's sure to find a great guy in the pack.
Well, one's married, one's an unemployed actor, one's crazy, one is only "somewhat" available - that's only four, but you get the picture. Josh does meet someone - after all this movie was made in Hollywood (West Hollywood), but we won’t give away who.
The film gets off to a rocky start, but the writing and most of the acting are sharp, which make up for the technical problems (scenes lit with one light, poor mic-ing, varied video quality and continuity problems). Jim J. Bullock is riotous as a queeny gay clothes shop owner and Judy Tenuta is droll as a therapy group leader.
For an evening of mindless light comedy, you can't lose.
